General Questions About Working With a Travel Agent

What exactly do you do as a travel agent?

I help you plan Disney trips, cruises, and all-inclusive vacations that are actually relaxing. I handle the research, bookings, and details, so you don’t have to guess or spend hours online.

What makes you different from other agents?

I’m a Certified Autism Travel Professional and Certified Accessible Travel Advocate. That means I know what works (and what doesn’t) for families with autism, ADHD, anxiety, or sensory challenges. I don’t just book trips – I help you feel confident travelling as a family.

How involved can I be in the planning?

As involved as you want. Some clients give me a general idea and want me to handle it all. Others like to be more hands-on and involved in the details. I’ll guide the process and make it easy either way.

How much does it cost to work with you?

Most of the time, it’s free. I get paid through the travel suppliers, not by you. If your trip needs extra support (like documentation for accessibility or complex family setups), I’ll let you know ahead of time if there’s a planning fee.

What if we’ve never travelled before?

That’s totally okay – I help with everything from passports to packing lists to airport tips. I’ll walk you through what to expect so nothing feels confusing or rushed.

Do you only work with autism families?

Nope! I help all kinds of families, but I specialize in autism-friendly and sensory-aware travel. If you’re looking for low-stress and well-organized, I’ve got you covered.

Disney Vacations

Can you help us with Disney’s DAS pass?

Yes. I’ll guide you through how to register for DAS, plan your day around it, and use Lightning Lanes in a way that works for your family. I help create flexible, sensory-friendly park days – not exhausting ones.

Is Disney sensory-friendly?

It can be – if it’s planned well. Disney has great options like quiet spaces, rider switch, and DAS, but you need a strategy. I’ll help you plan breaks, manage transitions, and avoid overwhelm.

Can you help with character meals or Lightning Lane?

Absolutely. I’ll help with all those extras – and explain what’s worth it, what’s not, and how to keep your days simple and fun.

Cruises for Families with Autism

Can you help us choose a cruise line?

Yes. I work with lines like Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruise Line that offer autism-friendly services:
• Priority boarding
• Sensory kits
• Flexible dining
• Trained staff
I help you pick the ship and itinerary that fits your family.

What if we’ve never cruised before?

No problem. I’ll explain how cruising works, what to pack, and how to prepare your kids. I’ll also help with cabin choices, dining, and kids’ programs.

Do cruises have supports for kids with autism or ADHD?

Some do – and I know which ones. I’ll help you find options with calm spaces, predictable routines, and support staff who understand sensory needs.

All-Inclusive Resorts

Are all-inclusive resorts good for kids with autism?

Some are, some aren’t. I’ll help you find resorts that have:
• Smaller crowds
• Flexible meal times
• Quiet areas or calm pools
• Staff trained in working with neurodiverse kids

What if we’re travelling with a big family or group?

I can help organize group travel so it doesn’t turn into a headache. I create simple custom info pages and keep everyone on track with payments and plans.

Do you offer payment plans?

Most resorts and cruise lines let you pay a deposit and then make payments. I’ll break it down and help you stay on budget.

Can you help with documentation or accessibility forms?

Yes. If you need doctor’s notes, travel letters, or help requesting special assistance, I’ll walk you through it.

Travel Basics

Can you help with flights, insurance, or passports?

Yes – I can help with all of that or point you to the right resources. I’ll make sure nothing gets missed.

What if my child has meltdowns or gets overwhelmed?

I build in downtime and plan days with flexibility. I also help you pack sensory tools and prep your child so they know what to expect. You’ll also get tips for talking to staff when you need support.

Can you help if we’re travelling from Canada or the U.S.?

Yes. I’m based in Ontario, but I work with families across Canada and in most U.S. states.

How do I get started?
